FOUR KILLED AS TRICYCLE RAMS BUS IN STA CRUZ

STA CRUZ, ZAMBALES - Four people were killed at 10:10pm last night after a “kolong kolong” rammed a Victory bus liner along National Highway in Barangay Lipay here.

According to the Police Sr. Supt. Felix Verbo Jr., acting Provincial Director of Zambales Provincial Police Office, a blue Honda TMX 155 driven by Justin Mendoza y Ebuen was going southbound when he lost control of his motorcycle.

The motorcycle went on the opposite lane and veered towards a red Euro tricycle driven by Tilyong Arbizo y Martinez. Martinez evaded the single motorcycle by moving to the opposite lane, but rammed towards a Victory Liner bus driven by 46-year-old Ramon Molo Jr. y Carreon.

The report stated that Arbizo was declared dead-on-the-spot while his passengers 9-year-old Michelle Arbizo, 8-year-old Daniel Arbizo and another child were declared dead-on-arrival. The other passengers were identified as 10-year-old Belong Arbizo, 4-year-old Mikoy Arbizo, 3-year-old Mika Arbizo, and an unidentified baby girl.

The surviving passengers, including the driver of the single motorcycle, incurred physical injuries and were taken to the Ospital ng Sta. Cruz while the driver of the Victory Liner surrendered to the authorities.
